Saving a File to an App

If you primarily work out of google drive, or have a file in your google drive that you would like to save locally to your iPad so that you can work without a network connection. You can follow the steps below to copy a document from google drive to the app. For the purposes of this guide, we will be using the Pages app.

Step 1. Find the file in your google drive and touch it to arrive at this page.

Step 2. In the menu that appears select "Open in".

Step 3. In the next menu that appears select "Copy to Pages" or whichever app you are trying to open it in.

The file should then open up in the app selected as a copy. To save the file back into google drive, follow the instructions here.
